As a Web Support Developer, you will assist the Customer Experience team in providing excellent technical support for our growing client base and their web based projects. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our clients in addressing their questions and providing guidance associated with the use of our various products and platforms.
Your background ideally includes a passion to serve the church, a strong desire to learn about the latest technology, and a desire to provide an exceptional customer experience. You have created websites already, are an expert in a CMS, know what a ChMS is, and yet you still have no problem rolling up your sleeves to help a church volunteer understand how to resize an image for their website.
Required Experience:
- Expert level skills in a web based CMS
- Advanced and demonstrated knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Intermediate level knowledge of Javascript/JQuery and PHP
- Working knowledge of DNS & Domain Management and htaccess
- General media production knowledge (image resolution, audio/video encoding, podcasting, etc)
- Working knowledge of Web design standards and best practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer relationship management - You will assist clients with advanced issues on our various platforms that have been escalated to you.
- Change order and support code changes - You will perform minor change orders to clients websites and solve front-end issues as they are escalated to you.
- Assist clients in achieving their goals by providing best practice recommendations and solutions.
- Gain and maintain an ‘expert’ level of knowledge on our products and services, including staying up to date on ongoing product releases.
Other Desired Traits:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to approach a problem creatively using a variety of web technologies.
- Experience in a ChMS (Shelby, Elexio, SimpleChurch, F1, CCB, etc…)
- Drive to champion new ideas and product improvements based on customer feedback collected.
- Familiar with Ruby web applications.
