MonkDev is looking for a Front-End Website Developer or "Implementer" with experience in PSD to XHTML/HTML5/CSS conversions, as well as CMS integration. This is a part-time or contract to full-time position.
Remote applicants will be considered.
Required Experience:
- At least 2 years experience with Conversion of PSD to XHTML/HTML5/CSS on top of CMS platforms.
- Hand coding valid XHTML/HTML5 and CSS3
- Advanced knowledge of JQuery, Javascript, etc...
- Intermediate knowledge of PHP
- Intermediate experience implementing various API's into front-end websites.
- Coding for cross-browser compatibility
- Architect responsive web designs following best practices for semantic markup
Other Requirements:
- Familiarity with Photoshop (no design work required, but the ability to manipulate submitted designs)
- Use of version control systems (ex. mercurial, git, etc.)
- Willingness to follow in-house conventions for markup and CSS production
- Willingness to learn the ins and outs of our CMS product, to ultimately be able to plug new sites into it.
- Desire to stay current with evolving technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with front-end development frameworks, grids and CSS Preprocessors a big plus
