3.0 Major Release
02 May 2008
Monk Development today released version 3.0 of their flagship Church & Ministry CMS product called Ekklesia 360. With this release the product code has been re-written and the framework completely revamped. This is the first step of many as we improve the entire system. To the end-user this update will primarily impact the look & feel of the CMS but a lot of important changes were made to the code for the next enhancements we plan to bring.
We did change a few usability features on the list pages. Most are minor and shouldn't impact your use of the system, the biggest change is the Context Menu & Filters.
Context Menus - Use of the Context Menu replaces many of the 'Operations' items displayed previously in the list pages, but they also include new capabilities. The Context Menu will continue to grow in its functionality after the roll-out. To learn more visit our Context Menu help article.
Filters - A few of the lists include Filters (eg. RSVP, Sales). These filter options are now hidden to but appear when the filter is selected. To learn more visit our Filter help article.
We hope you enjoy the new look, shortly we will begin to roll out new features to continue to enhance the CMS and your ability to manage your presence online.
The update includes:
- Ugrade to the 3.0.8 TinyMCE WYSIWYG content editor.
- Improvements to the member import capability and assigning to groups upon import.
The new API includes:
- Using createlink:no with login getContent/Monklet will remove the 'create an account' link to disallow the creation of accounts on sites.
