Case Study: Denver Seminary

Screenshot Denver Seminary 300Denver Seminary sought to launch a re-vamped site to (1) better attract potential students and (2) to provide valuable resources to current students as well as alumni.  Through a comprehensive design process, wire framing and UI consulting a clean and simple design was created to encourage users to quickly and easily find the content they sought.  Denver Seminary was built on Ekklesia 360 a CMS designed for a seminary, church, denominations and other ministry organizations.

In addition, Denver launched private intranets that include:

  • MyDenSem: An area for current students to access enrollment and other academic information.
  • OurDenSem: An alumni social networking backend to continue to provide value and encourage relationship between past graduates and the seminary.

Results

Since launching with Ekklesia, both traffic and the reports of increased usability have increased.  Students have been able to use interactive areas such as discussion forums to connect.  Additional results include:

  • 57% increase in online visits to an already popular website.
  • Online giving is up 360% from the same time period one year ago.
  • The online applications have increased to become one of the most popular means of submitting an application for enrollment to the school .
  • The job board has become one of the most popular destinations, helping connect students and alumni with finding the right opportunities.
