3.2.5 Release

Monk Development has released version 3.2.5 of Ekklesia 360. This minor release includes the following improvements:

New Role Management

In the past, the way to specify that someone should appear in the dropdowns for preacher, author or event coordinator was to update the settings of their member permissions.

Roles Old

This wasn’t ideal, because it meant you’d need to add visiting preachers or reprinted article authors as members of your site. Today we have released a feature which now allows you to add and manage the following without creating new members:

Each of these modules now has an additional tab where the relevant role can be managed:

Preacher Tab

Each role simply consists of a first name, last name, optional additional info (such as a short bio, which can be displayed on your site), as well as the ability to link the person to an actual member of your site. This can be helpful if you want to display additional info from a member’s profile. We encourage you to link to members whenever possible, but the beauty of the system is that if you are simply reprinting an article from Charles Spurgeon, there is no need to add him as a member.
